My Sport Psych (“MSP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use mysportpsych.com (the “Platform”), how we use it, and your rights.

1. Who we are

My Sport Psych is an online platform that connects athletes with independent mental performance coaches and sport psychology professionals for one-to-one online sessions. We are based in India and serve users internationally.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information.

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Profile information (sport, language, country, goals) when booking sessions
  • Payment information processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card details)
  • Messages you send to coaches or our support team
  • Information submitted through forms (coach applications, contact forms, assessments)

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

Information from coaches:

  • Professional headline, biography, qualifications, certifications, and affiliations (publicly displayed on coach profiles)
  • Availability and booking preferences
  • Payment details for receiving session payments

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process bookings and payments
  • Connect you with coaches and facilitate sessions
  • Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, password resets, session reminders)
  • Improve the Platform and user experience
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Send marketing communications (only if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time)

4. Payment information

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers including PayPal and other secure gateways integrated through our booking system. We do not store full credit card numbers or banking details on our servers. Payment providers handle your data under their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS security standards.

Pricing on the Platform is displayed in US Dollars (USD).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With coaches you book: Coaches receive your name, contact details, and any session-relevant information you provide
  • With service providers: Hosting, email delivery, payment processors, analytics, and similar services — strictly for operating the Platform
  • For legal reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public

6. International data transfers

My Sport Psych is based in India and serves users globally. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Where personal data of users in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws is transferred outside those regions, we apply appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and other measures required by applicable law to protect your data.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyse Platform usage
  • Improve performance and security

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8. Data retention

Booking and payment records may be retained for up to seven years to meet financial and tax requirements under applicable law. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 9).

  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request portability of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Users in India have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Users in the European Union or United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

10. Children’s privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If a parent or guardian wishes to book sessions for a minor, please contact us at info@mysportpsych.com to discuss appropriate consent and safeguarding arrangements.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption, secure hosting, and access controls. However, no online platform is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and notifying us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

12. Third-party services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including payment processors (such as PayPal), video conferencing tools (such as Google Meet), calendar systems (such as Google Calendar), email delivery providers, hosting providers, and analytics services. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

My Sport Psych is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
